The FARE Neighbors Volunteer Program expands FARE's reach across our seven FARE Neighborhoods: Washington, DC; Hampton Roads, VA; Arkansas; Chicago, IL; Newark, NJ; Atlanta, GA; and Kansas City, MO (note: participants must live in or near one of our seven FARE Neighborhood Initiative locations). Focused on addressing food allergy disparities in underserved areas, the program provides volunteers with a toolkit of printable materials, presentation templates, and guidance. Additionally, volunteers will benefit from support provided by FARE staff, free access to Food Allergy Academy training sessions, and invitations to quarterly virtual meetings. Volunteers have the flexibility to create their own opportunities rather than choosing from a predefined list of roles.While some opportunities may come up, most will be self-driven.
